Jeff, I can no longer reconcile anything in the Bible. The God of the Bible will throw me into the pit of hell forever. He also may do the same to the people I love. I believe God is pure love and can’t even conceive of that. The Scriptures are not my path home to God. I’m happy for you if they’re what gets you there. May I ask, besides fearing hell, what motivates you to follow Jesus?
