If God was indeed like the God of the Bible, he would be cruel - at best. Adam went to sleep, and the story never says he woke up. One might say that this world is nothing but a bad dream and we’re all just waiting to be gently woken up by the Holy Spirit, that we’ve never actually left God’s presence. Something to think about.
